Who I Am
As your voice on the Escondido Union School District Board of Trustees, I have been an advocate for those that matter most, our children. Today’s students represent the future of our community, but too often, are neglected in the decision-making process.
I have spent my career in public service; providing educational and social opportunities for families as an executive in various city Parks and Recreation departments. Perhaps most importantly, I am the parent of four children, three of which are currently enrolled in the Escondido public school system, and one recent graduate.
I am passionate about ensuring EUSD accomplishes our stated purpose: “universal student achievement.”
My Promise
As your EUSD school board member, my promise to our community is that I will always:
Continue to be an advocate for students, parents, and families, as decisions regarding student education arise.
Advocate and guide school board decisions and policies which provide for the safest, most secure, and most effective education experience for all students
Focus EUSD efforts on achieving the benefits of consistent school attendance in the development of social, emotional, and long-term life skills of all students
Make every effort to be prudent with available financial resources, prioritizing expenditures to improve student achievement
